This RTD (resistance temperature detector) temperature sensor is widely used in industrial applications requiring high precision and reliability. Its operating principle is based on the variation of the plant's electrical resistance as a function of temperature. The name PT100 means that the sensing element is made of platinum (Pt) and has 100 ohms of resistance at 0°C. It boasts excellent linearity and repeatability, ensuring consistent measurements. The measurement range is -200°C to 600°C (depending on the model).
