Omel is a Brazilian company, founded in 1952 by Italian immigrants and a pioneer in the manufacturing of industrial pumps. In the beginning, the activities focused on supplying maintenance services to industries and construction of special machines. Foreseeing the growth of the national industry, Omel decided to invest in the formation of a development team, consisting of several engineers who designed the first line of vacuum pumps and centrifugal pumps.

In the end of the 60’s, the company already had 50 collaborators and felt the need to innovate the products. This need resulted in a technology transfer agreement with the Italian company Aturia S.P.A. for liquid ring vacuum pumps and roots type blowers that contributed to the continuous development of the sector.

After 50 years of exclusive activities in the design and manufacturing of special pumps for the most diverse applications, Omel developed technologies comparable to those of the world leaders.

Its current product portfolio encompasses equipment designed and built with quality, performance, robustness and durability, able to operate in both favorable and adverse environments and conditions, economically and with high reliability: liquid ring vacuum pumps, metering pumps in compliance with HI and API requirements, process centrifugal pumps for light and medium service in compliance with ANSI standards and for heavy service in compliance with API standards, roots type blowers, flow measurement rotameters and tubular diaphragm valves.
It also offers technical assistance, fast corrective maintenance services, spare parts replacement and supervised start-ups and complete maintenance workshop, able to repair and test any equipment in the shortest possible time, including other brands.
