Description
Reverse Osmosis is the highest level of filtration available. Its membranes act as a physical barrier to contamination with pores of the order of 0.5 nm, unit of measurement 10 million times less than 1 millimeter. The dimension of its porosity is able to retain all dissolved inorganic liquids and inorganic molecules, as well as organic molecules with a molecular weight greater than 100.
On the other hand, water molecules that are pumped at high pressures tangentially to this membrane wall, pass through it, creating a flow of purified product called permeate. The rejection of dissolved salts is above 99% creating the flow we know by tailings.
A reverse osmosis filtration system operates under extreme conditions, given the particle dimensions to which it filters, pumped water pressure and physical and chemical interference that contaminants create during this step, so the need to rely on a serious and experienced company to develop the design and construction of these equipments, and thus ensure efficient and unsurprising water production.
