1.4542 (17-4 PH) is a type of corrosion-resistant martensitic stainless steel that is characterized by its high strength and good toughness after aging treatment. This alloy can achieve extremely high yield strength while maintaining good toughness and dimensional stability after aging treatment.
M42 High-Speed Steel is a type of tool steel that adds 8% cobalt to enhance its red hardness compared to M2. The composition of M42 allows it to achieve good toughness and hardness, widely used for various cutting tools, particularly suitable for hard-to-machine materials and superalloys. The heat treatment hardness range of M42 is 68-70 HRC.
H13 is a type of air-hardening tool steel suitable for various high-temperature working environments. This steel contains relatively high chromium content, which gives it exceptional resistance to thermal fatigue and thermal stability under high temperature conditions.
440C is a type of high carbon martensitic stainless steel, commonly supplied in round bar form. After appropriate heat treatment, this material can achieve a relatively high hardness, strength, and toughness compared to other stainless steel grades like 440A and 440B. 440C has a higher carbon content, thus achieving higher hardness and toughness, but its toughness may be lower than that of lower carbon versions.
4340 is a type of medium carbon high strength steel, characterized by exceptional alloying properties. Compared to many alloy steels, 4340 exhibits superior strength, toughness, ductility, and fatigue resistance. This steel grade can achieve different hardness ranges through various heat treatment methods, with hardness typically reaching around 24-53 HRC, to meet the requirements of various engineering applications.
1.2379 is a high alloy cold work tool steel, characterized by excellent machinability and wear resistance, suitable for applications requiring high wear resistance and dimensional stability. This steel grade has distinct secondary hardening properties, allowing for high hardness and good wear resistance after heat treatment, while maintaining good stability. 1.2379 is particularly suitable for processing molds, dies, cutting tools, and other cold work tools.
