2-Die 2-Blow Cold Heading Machine is a specialized piece of equipment used in the manufacturing industry, particularly for producing fasteners and similar components. This type of machine is designed to form metal parts at room temperature by applying high pressure rather than heat, which is known as cold heading. The process enhances the material strength through strain hardening while reducing waste compared to traditional machining processes.

The cold heading process is carried out at room temperature and can produce high-density and high hardness bolts. The process is simple and cost-effective, making it suitable for large-scale production. However, it is prone to surface cracks and internal bubbles, requiring multiple surface treatments.
On the contrary, the hot forging process is carried out at high temperatures, which can eliminate residual stresses in the material, improve the fatigue resistance of bolts, and ensure stable material properties. But the process is complex, the manufacturing cost is high, and the heating and cooling processes may cause deformation and discoloration. Therefore, when choosing a process, factors such as product requirements and production costs need to be considered.

Cold heading is suitable for small and medium-sized bolts, such as mechanical and electronic equipment fasteners;
Hot forging is suitable for large-sized, high-strength, and high-quality bolts, such as equipment components for nuclear power, aircraft, automobiles, and ships. Overall, the cold heading and hot heading processes for titanium alloy screws have their own advantages, and the choice of process should be balanced according to actual needs.
