It all began in 1896, when Bayer\s two technical consultants landed in Rio de Janeiro with a mission to raise the commercial possibilities of the young Republic. In the same year was founded the first representative of Bayer products in Brazil, Walty Lindt & Co.<br><br>The first firm Bayer\s own trade office was founded in February 1911. The Friedrich Bayer & Co., based in Rio de Janeiro, became responsible for all distribution of products in the country.
