Description
Aramid Pulp (Kevlar) are chopped fibers, originating from products that were manufactured with virgin material from the manufacturer Dupont and that have received some type of treatment and/or application of resins and that can be used as special additives to increase performance providing excellent reinforcement and viscosity control regarding shear stress and sparks (brake pads).
Applications: Ideal for product formulations that allow the addition of aramid with some resin residue and at an attractive cost, such as: brake pads, gaskets and additive for viscosity control in adhesives and seals.
Properties:
1. Extremely short fibers;
2. Opaque yellowish color;
3. Mechanical resistance to impacts and friction, without showing wear;
3. Very sturdy material;
4. Thermal and acoustic insulation: it can be used as thermal or acoustic insulation;
5. Flammability: it is low flammable and resists oxidation (as long as it is properly packaged);
6. Dimensional stability: it has a good dimensional stability
