Yuze was born in 2013, founded by Guilherme Eiras, a newly graduated mechanical engineer who worked in oil and had a hobby of cooking. Dissatisfied with the existing products on the market, he abandoned his stable job to create his own kitchen products. The idea was highly rejected by his family and friends who thought it was crazy to "leave engineering to manufacture knife sharpeners."
